Transformation

I was taking a few photos around the house tonight for a powerpoint to go with tomorrow's sermon and I wanted a photo of Simon's bedroom. He took a look at my photo and next thing we hear great goings on in the bedroom and then the vacuum cleaner going in. Jo and I just looked at one another in astonishment. When he was all done, I just had to go and take another photo. I wished I had thought of it sooner!

OK - I got the message already

OK just a rose - but I'm off to Bruny again tomorrow, so maybe I'll come back with some lovely beach scenes once more.

Thanks guys

I wish I could find words to tell you how much it meant to me. To have you all come over means more than I can ever say. The party was a fantastic night that I will remember for the rest of my life. I know it cost you alot to make the trip, but in so doing you have given me a great gift. We can now begin to set our sights on January 18th, 2008 - Greg's 50th!!

Two new elders inducted

Last Sunday we inducted two new elders at church. Our church has quite a significant number of present members who have served as elders in the past. WE got them to line up across the front of the church in the order of which they served as elders. After some sorting out, we gave the earliest elder present a baton, and asked him to hold it high and then pass it on to the next one. We did this in turn until we reached the two retiring elders, who each passed a baton to one of the new elders. It was a bit of fun, but also was a visual display of the significance of being handed a baton, and then being able to pass it on to another.
