St Kilda Beach

Yesterday Jo and I spent time at St Kilda Beach in Melbourne. We happened to arrive at the right time to catch some kite surfers in action. The temptation to get the telephoto lens out was too great.

Just Four

Whilst Jo and I were traveling we visited four different countries (Six if we included Scotland and Wales) Over the month we were away I took about 6000 photos. I set myself the task of selecting just one photo from each stopover. Here they are. I will leave it to you to see if you can pick which photo was taken where.

It must be spring time

Yesterday it was Tulips in the Botanical gardens and today it was wild flowers and wattle on the Tasman Peninsula.

Tip toe through the tulips

Sunday afternoon. The sun is shining and the tulips are blooming. This weekend is the Hobart Botanical Gardens Tulip Festival. We wandered down this afternoon to check the wonderful display of tulips in the gardens. Too good an opportunity to leave the camera at home.

Plenty of good food and fine wine on hand to enjoy.

They even have a really cool ice cream van. Check out the girl selling the ice creams. No free samples for her Dad though!

They had some really funky music going. I've always been a sucker for brass and this band had it all. They even had some of the locals up dancing to their beat.
